Unlike many hunting clubs, The Hunting Club of Australia is not just about about fulfilling your genuine purpose requirements. We offer a great range of benefits including social events, discounts and courses. Over time we’re partnering with leading outdoor brands to bring our members additional benefits, so this list is only growing bigger!
Thanks to one of our founders, Yvette, we also have a “happy-partner fee” (totally optional, but good fun), charged during hunting trips so that all the partners who don’t go on the trip can get together for a great lunch or dinner.
NSW GENUINE PURPOSE
Membership to the Hunting Club of Australia fulfils your genuine purpose requirements to obtain a NSW firearms license for purpose of recreational hunting. We are also an Approved Hunting Organisation with the Department of Primary Industries, enabling you to get a General (private land) or Restricted (public land) hunting license.
HUNTER’S INSURANCE
Be confident that every time you’re out hunting you’re covered by top insurance provided by Marsh Advantage & underwritten by Lloyd’s of London. $20,000,000 coverage for personal injury and property damage, plus $12,000 in firearm and bow insurance.

Social EVENTS
We’re connected by a common passion, but we don’t only socialise when we’re going on hunts together. Monthly members drinks, dinner parties and all kinds of events, including events totally unrelated to hunting, are planned all throughout the year. We even offer a social membership for those who enjoy the company but not the actual hunting.
Training
Completing the minimum requirements for a license is one thing, but to be a competent, ethical, effective and safe hunter is made much easier when you have an experienced teacher helping you out. Through the Hunting Club of Australia and are partners, we provide all the training you could want to reach a top level of hunting proficiency.
